Los Verdes update on Habitation Certificates

Martina Scheurer, spokeswoman for the green party Los Verdes in Orihuela Costa, said that, during her meeting with approximately 20 residents at the Town Hall of Playa Flamenca and Councillor Jose Antonio Aniorte on the 28th of December 2009 regarding the habitation certificates, it was agreed to wait until mid January to give the new staff time to view the papers and find answers to the question, related directly to Bosque de las Lomas III and Laguna III.

Scheurer met with Ms Mar Miguel at the Playa Flamenca Town Hall on January, 27, to discuss some questions she had emailed the Town Hall´s representative a few days earlier.

To Scheurer, the meeting on Wednesday 27th was "more than disappointing. Although Mrs. Mar Miguel is a very kind and very helpful person, she is completely overwelmed by approximately one cubemeter of files piled up behind her. She did not have any answer regarding my very precise questions, took note of everything and gave me a new appointment for coming Wednesday, as the files which I questioned "were not yet there in Playa Flamenca"".

In the meantime, councillor Monserrate Guillén of Los Verdes has also tried to get an appointment with councillor Aniorte regarding this matter, but to no avail up to now.

Martina Scheurer recalls reading "in the press last year mid November, that the councillor for Town Planning, Mr. Barberá, said that 1,532 habitation certificates were "ready" and that all procedure regarding habitation certificates would be passed to Playa Flamenca "to make things easier for the citizens" and that all this would be starting from the 16th of December".

Los Verdes believe this is "a move to slow down everything rather than accelerating and we are curious to see if we will get some answers coming Wednesday".
