Torrevieja’s Sports City complex to be expanded
It’s all systems go for Torrevieja’s new Sports City with 80% of the complex expected to be finished by the end of March. Along with the planned sports centres, Torrevieja’s Town Hall announced this week that a third Pavilion is to be built on the ground presently occupied by the tennis and basketball court, beside the blue roofed Cecilio Gallego Pavilion.

Flamenca, the C.L.A.R.O. Help and Information Office remains open Monday to Thursday 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Friday 11 a.m. to 12 noon. Access to the office, located in the garden of the restaurant, is via the Carrefour side of the restaurant building.

The PUMA22 action group is in the process of registering as an official group to enable it to raise funds to battle the withdrawal of healthcare by the Valencian health authority. The group has elected a committee, with founder member Dr Roman Jimenez Gil as president, Norah Bond as secretary, Mr Bill Bridges as treasurer, according to the laws governing official bodies.
